The Canaries are back in the top flight! This is the guide to watching and listening to matches in the Premier League – from Canada.
Live Video
DAZN
Starting this season, DAZN Canada holds the exclusive rights to the Premier League in Canada. Every match will be available live and on demand on the DAZN web site, mobile apps, and smart TV devices. DAZN also provides match highlights and additional content. There will be no matches on TSN or Sportsnet.
DAZN offers a free month to all new subscribers, followed by $20 CAD per month, or $150 annually ($12.50/month, paid annually).
NBC
NBC holds the Premier League rights in the United States. A handful of matches each week will be broadcast on the main NBC channel, which is available to most Canadians.
Live Audio
Talksport
TalkSport is expected to once again offer free audio commentary to listeners outside of the United Kingdom on their mobile-friendly web site.
Canaries TV
Canaries TV is the latest re-branding of iFollow, Canaries Player, etc. and is the club’s official platform for live BBC Radio Norfolk commentary with Chris Goreham and Rob Butler. In addition to live audio, the service also promises highlights and in-depth content, but comes at a cost of $78 CAD for the season, or $8 CAD per month.
Despite the name, “Canaries TV” does not show live video of matches.
Cups
The rights to the FA Cup are still held by Sportsnet in Canada and have typically been shown on the pricey, premium Sportsnet World add-on. With very little other content to offer, the value of this channel is lower than ever.
Select matches of the Carabao Cup are shown on DAZN.
Audio for the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, and other competitions may be heard on TalkSport, with no guarantee the Canaries’ cup matches will be chosen. Canaries TV should carry just the audio for cup matches.
